All products placed on the market and put into use for use in potentially explosive atmospheres must comply with the ATEX manufacturer’s directive (excluding products exempt from the directive). Obtaining ATEX certification means that the product has passed the rigorous testing required by the EU directive, meets ATEX’s applicable scenarios, and has been proven safe for use in specific explosive atmospheres.
