01 Maintain Power Supply: The gas alarm must remain powered; otherwise, it cannot emit an alarm signal. Do not disconnect the power arbitrarily during use.
02 Regular Annual Inspection: Home gas alarms require regular annual inspections, at least once a year.
03 Daily Cleaning: When visible dust accumulates on the surface of the gas alarm, gently wipe it with a damp, soft cloth. Avoid using a dripping wet cloth. After cleaning, perform a “self-test” to ensure the device is functioning properly before reinstalling it. During maintenance and cleaning, never use chemicals such as alcohol, gasoline, or cleaning agents to clean the alarm, as this may damage the device.
04 Replacement Upon Expiry: According to relevant standards, the service life of a home gas alarm is 5 years. It should be promptly replaced upon expiration.
Gas appliances are closely related to daily life. If they reach their service life, even if they appear to function normally, it is not advisable to continue using them. Instead, replace them with new gas appliances as soon as possible to ensure greater safety. Additionally, if a gas appliance malfunctions, it should be repaired immediately. If it cannot be repaired, it is not advisable to continue using it. Appliances that are beyond repair should be discarded. Do not compromise safety for the sake of small savings, as this could lead to severe accidents, which would be a greater loss than gain.
