All frontline workers must memorize the standard emergency response procedure and firmly prevent the tragedy of “rescuer becomes victim.”
1. Stop immediately and never enter rashly: Upon discovering a person in danger, restrain the impulse. It is absolutely forbidden to enter the well without protection, without detection, and without ventilation. This prevents secondary and tertiary casualties.
2. Call for help and alert emergency services immediately: Shout for help loudly, gather on-site personnel for support, and immediately dial 119 and 120. Accurately report the accident location, type of space, and number of people in danger. Wait for professional rescue forces.
3. Secure the area and isolate the danger zone: Quickly set up warning barriers, prohibit unrelated personnel from approaching the wellhead, and prevent unaware individuals from entering the danger zone. Stop the risk from spreading further.
4. Force ventilation and replace toxic gases: Start an explosion-proof fan to continuously supply fresh air into the confined space. Dilute and displace toxic gases such as hydrogen sulfide underground, improve the internal environment, and create safe conditions for subsequent rescue. Never introduce pure oxygen.
5. Conduct non-entry rescue from above: Use tripods, safety ropes, rescue harnesses, and other equipment to perform drag rescue from outside the wellhead. Adhere to the core principle: rescue only from above, never descend into the well.
6. Await professional intervention: Once fire and emergency professionals arrive, allow personnel with full protective equipment and rescue qualifications to carry out underground operations. Never attempt risky self-rescue.
